I am very proud to announce that we, at First15 B.V., in collaboration with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Medisch Spectrum Twente, Erasmus MC, ZGT and Deventer Hospital, have started a new project: Reuse of High-quality Medical Instruments.
The kick-off took place last Tuesday. The goal of this project is to investigate how we can reuse medical devices used during operations. Unfortunately, many devices are still thrown away after a single use, and reuse in the operating room is limited. We want to change that!
We are grateful for the collaboration with various partners, including:
- Oceanz 3D Printing
- B.V. Rubberfabriek 'Wittenburg'
- VDSMH
- R-SOLUTION Medical BV
- Santen
- Logic Medical BV
- Vanguard AG - Medical Remanufacturing
- IMPLICAN B.V.
Our First15 team will specifically focus on the possibility of making our tourniquet reusable for certain surgical procedures. As a first step, we will be spending a day at Medisch Spectrum Twente next Tuesday. We are really looking forward to this valuable collaboration and the insights we will gain.
Together we are working on a sustainable future for healthcare!
